About Me
I am an Assistant Professor in Data Science at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi. I also serve as doctoral faculty in the Coastal and Marine Sciences Department. My research focuses on developing novel machine learning approaches for time-series analysis and anomaly detection, with applications in spatiotemporal modeling.
Prior to joining Texas A&M, I was a Research and Development Associate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where I was honored as a DOE Early Career LDRD awardee for my research in quantum computing for spatiotemporal modeling. I received my Ph.D. in Computational Data Science from the University at Buffalo, where I developed novel approaches for anomaly detection in evolving data streams.
Open Positions
I am recruiting motivated PhD students with strong backgrounds in mathematics, data science, or statistics to work with me on topics aligned with my lab's research directions including time-series databases, anomaly detection, quantum computing, and foundation models.
Master's and undergraduate students within Texas A&M University Corpus Christi and visiting scholars are always welcome to discuss research opportunities.
